Chase Sapphire Review

Chase Sapphire review
Our Chase Sapphire card reviewstarts off witht he fact that this card is a rewards card, but with a great twist. This is the fact that the Chase Ultimate Rewards program connected to this card is one of the most versatile we have seen. You can redeem your points on airfare, hotel rooms, cruises, shopping and cash back. The points never expire. Each dollar spent on the card gets you one rewards point but you can get double points on travel bookings made with the Ultimate Rewards house travel booking tool. The Chase Ultimate Rewards travel bonuses have no black-out dates.

In addition, our Chase Sapphire card review finds that card holders have travel accident insurance, rental car insurance (auto rental collision damage waiver) and are reimbursed for lost luggage when they pay using the card. There’s 24/7 access to a concierge and dedicated customer service. This is why the Chase Sapphire card is often selected as a business travel card by the cost conscious business traveller.

Signup is very easy online, and Chase will give first time cardholders 10,000 bonus points for signing up and making a first purchase. Since round trip flights in the U.S. usually run around 25,000 points, this is basically a free trip for signing up.

What about Chase Sapphire card details such as APR and fees? There are no annual membership fees though there are transaction fees for special types of purchase: a 3% cash advance fee, 3% international purchase fee, and $15-39 late fee.

As to the APR, there is good news and bad news. Bad news first: There is a pretty stiff penalty APR of 29.99% APR, which means you should make your payments on time. If you never have any problems with that, then you can enjoy a low 12.24% APR for a good credit score which is about the same as a regular credit card WITHOUT any rewards program, so you are getting extra benefits for the same cost (and you must factor in that comepting cards often have higher APRs of 14% or more). Balance transfers are billed at a 12.24% APR and cash advances have a 19.24% APR.

Our Chase Sapphire reviewconclusion is that this is a great card and one of the best for rewards or travel.
