The office will sit at 865 S. Figueroa St.

It also said the move will shift its downtown office location while the downtown branch at 900 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 100 stays in place.

What This Means for Everyday Banking Access

Office moves can change how a bank serves consumers, even when branches stay put.

A larger downtown footprint can support more meetings, more small-business touchpoints, and more banking staff near the market’s densest activity.

Banc of California tied its timing to major events coming to the region.

The release pointed to Los Angeles preparing to host the World Cup in 2026 and the 2028 Olympics.

Bank Background for California Consumers

The company described itself as a bank holding company with over $34 billion in assets.

It said the bank offers loan and deposit products and services through 79 full-service branches in California, plus branches in Denver, Colorado, and Durham, North Carolina.

The release also said the bank provides payment processing solutions and serves the Community Association Management industry with its SmartStreet platform.

It said the charitable foundation supports financial literacy, job training, small business support, affordable housing, and other local priorities.

Banc of California downtown office plans now double as a branding play.

Consumers will likely see the Banc of California downtown office move as a signal of long-term commitment to the LA market. The move fits a broader pattern of banks reshaping footprints, including BMO’s California-centric branch expansion plan.
