BofA Prepares for Wikileaks By Buying Websites
Before his arrest, Julian Assange of Wikileaks anounced that he would release documents of a large American bank, and the publication of those documents revealing how the top powers of a bank think would rival the Enron expose. Presumeably, that bank is Bank of America, and it seems the bank is getting ready for the WikiLeaks revelations.
What has the bank been doing to prepare for the documents release? The bank has been registering naughty domain names.
On December 17, Bank of America registered more than 300 domain names, most of which could be used for hate campaigns against the bank. This includes names like BrianMoynihanSucks.com (which contains the name of the current CEO). The bank did this to prevent the domains from falling into the hands of people who might set up publicity campaigns against the bank.
